We created Nubia Suites for travellers who want to experience Curaçao beyond the familiar resort setting. Our two private suites offer a calm place to return to, while Otrobanda invites you to step outside and explore colourful streets, local food and everyday island life. You stay independently, with personal help nearby whenever you need it.

You have your own space to retreat into, and a shared courtyard when you’d rather not be alone. Willemstad stays close, right outside the door, whenever the city calls you back.

A different way to experience the island

Nubia Suites began with a simple idea: a stay should give you more than somewhere to sleep. It should help you feel connected to where you are. That is why we chose Otrobanda, one of Willemstad’s most characterful neighbourhoods, and created two thoughtful suites where privacy, local surroundings and unhurried island living naturally come together.

We wanted guests to have the freedom of their own space without losing the personal attention that makes travelling easier. From your first question to your time on the island, communication stays direct and uncomplicated. The result is a small scale place that feels considered, welcoming and closely connected to Curaçao.

The details you feel before you notice

Nothing at Nubia is there simply to fill a space. Every texture, object and finishing touch contributes to how calm, comfortable and cared for the stay feels.

The linen

Soft, natural fabrics bring comfort to every room. From the Egyptian cotton bed linen to the towels embroidered with the Nubia initial, each piece has been selected for how it feels as much as how it looks.

The light

Morning sunlight, warm wall lamps and gentle shadows shape the atmosphere throughout the day. The lighting is designed to soften the rooms and help the pace naturally slow down.

The materials

Linen, wood, woven fibres and natural stone connect the interiors to the character of the building and the island. Their textures add warmth without asking for attention.

The little things

Our body and home care products by Marie-Stella-Maris, coffee and tea, sparkling water and a handwritten welcome card are already waiting. Small gestures that make arriving feel personal and being away feel effortless.

The stay

Two suites, one hidden place in Otrobanda

Nubia consists of two private suites, The Townhouse and The Courtyard. Each welcomes up to two guests and has its own character, comfortable living spaces and everything needed for an independent stay. Outside, a secluded garden and shared plunge pool create a quiet pause from the warmth and movement of the city.

Travelling together with four guests? You can reserve both suites and enjoy the outdoor space as your group’s private meeting place. Step beyond the gate and Otrobanda unfolds around you, with cafés, architecture, street art and the centre of Willemstad close enough to explore at your own pace.
